About M-Spyder

In case you’re wondering, I chose “metaspyder” because of its similarity to the (google) “metaspider” that searches and indexes pages on the internet. It is a function, a program – not an object. I feel the same about that which powers the human brain between its formation and death: the essence of “I” – that which makes us who we are – is a function that can’t be defined outside of how it interacts with other things. For instance, if there were no websites, what would there be for Google’s search engine to index?

Initially, this blog was supposed to be an avenue for improving my writing, and was meant to avoid politics and other topics. While it has served some of its original purpose, my posts became increasingly political from about late 2008, when I started following the Presidential Elections.

At the moment, I imagine I will continue to spout some politicsĀ here, if I feel my thoughts are worthy of being ignored by the blogosphere. But there will be other posts too: un-serious, utterly random, often-quite-meaningless posts; things that may leave you wondering if you missed a punch-line, or if I’m just a terrible writer.

If you will disagree with anything here, please be civil.
